Photochemical Upconversion Solar Cell Simulator

This easy-to-use program can calculate the figure of merit of photovoltaics enhanced by triplet annihilation upconversion. It simulates the fusion of light. The package includes a Windows graphical user interface, manual, and examples. Using this software, you can connect synthesis, exciton physics, and applications. The program is described in the paper Photochemical Upconversion Theory: Importance of Triplet Energy Levels and Triplet Quenching.

System requirements: Zenity for Windows (upstream, source code) is needed to use the graphical interface. It is free.

Programmers will also need a licence for Numerical Recipes in C, which is available in most university libraries. FNR is included.

Photochemical Upconversion Light Emitting Diode (LED) Calculator

This program can calculate the efficiency of an LED which uses photochemical upconversion to change the color of light. It is open source. The program is described in the paper Photochemical Upconversion Light Emitting Diode (LED): Theory of Triplet Annihilation Enhanced by a Cavity.

System requirements: Mathematica license.

This program will be useful to researchers who have synthesized new sensitizers or emitters. You can take properties you have measured with ordinary instruments like a spectrophotometer or fluorimeter and compute the efficiency of an LED incorporating your new upconversion compounds.
